No birthday blog has ever had this much Madonna

One of the themes that clearly runs through Ms. Horchow's life: Madonna. Those of us who grew up with her in high school were there when Madonna first vogued her way into Sally's heart but her love affair was only beginning. So, dear readers, share with us your Sally and the Madonna stories at will.....

  1. Well Courtney... As a gay-boy... I can say this. I am right there with you and with Sally on the Madonna front. I mean, I nearly took the Madonna class at Yale. (Actually, either there was a class or a session in a class dedicated to her...) ANYWAY... I remember going to the Confessions tour. Sally and I had both fallen off the Madonna wagon. I mean... American Life... REALLY? Madonna. Really. But, a free eight row ticket was enough for me to believe again. And, AMEN to that concert because, as I said to Sally the moment I left the concert... "She's back. SHE IS BACK. Run, don't walk, to get tickets. Pull out the stops, get Steven on this, ANYONE AND EVERYONE because SHE. IS. BACK." And, how could one not be... coming on to stage out of a disco ball singing a mix of I Feel Love and Future Lovers?! And, yes, Sally... in outstanding Name that Tune fashion... nailed the mix in two notes.

  2. OK...Let me chime in here...Madonna was BIG, realllll BIG, at St. Paul's. I definitely was there for Sally's Madonna awakening -- though it may have been in full bloom at Yale...

Sal -- Are you proud, I'm actually participating in a blog. Who could have imagined that I was capable of such techno prowess...

  3. I was most unamused to learn that the KING of Madonna had decided that she had lost her crown: Drucker. After so many years of dedication, why now, Adam? Why have you given up on Madge??
